This Privacy Policy explains how Clubrella (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use the Clubrella mobile application (the “App”).

1) Who the App is for
The App is intended for people aged 18 or older. You must confirm you are 18+ to create an account.

2) Data we collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

Account and profile data
• Email address (via Firebase Authentication)
• Firebase user ID (UID)
• Username (stored in Firestore)
• Timestamps (e.g., createdAt/updatedAt)

Friends and safety features
• Friend relationships and friend requests (who added who)
• Blocks (if you block a user)

Game / leaderboard data
• Bingo picks and related game data
• Verification/approval requests related to bingo
• Points and leaderboard totals for you (and for friends, where the feature requires it)

Aggregated venue analytics (non-identifying)
• We may collect aggregated counts of actions such as viewing a club page or tapping a club link.
• Venues/partners only receive aggregated analytics, such as number of taps/views. They do not receive your name, username, email, UID, or other identifiers from these analytics.

Device/service data
Firebase may collect standard service data to operate and secure the service, such as device/app information, IP address logs, and security logs. This is typical for cloud services.

3) Data we do NOT collect currently
• We do not require location permission.
• We do not collect precise location.
• We do not access your camera or photos.
• Users cannot message each other in-app.
• There are no in-app payments.

4) How we use your data
We use your data to:
• Create and manage your account
• Provide core app features, including username search, friends, requests, and blocking
• Run the bingo, points, and leaderboard features
• Maintain app security and prevent abuse
• Produce aggregated, non-identifying analytics about club page interactions

5) Legal bases under UK GDPR
We rely on:
• Contract, to provide the App features you request when you sign up and use the App
• Legitimate interests, such as service security, preventing abuse, and improving the App
• Consent, for optional features like push notifications, where applicable through device permissions

6) Sharing and processors
We share data only as necessary to run the App:
• Google Firebase, including Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, and Remote Config, as our service provider/processor
• Google Maps: the App may open Google Maps externally when you tap directions. Your use of Google Maps is governed by Google’s own policies.

We do not sell your personal data.

7) International transfers
Firebase/Google may process data outside the UK. Where applicable, transfers are protected using appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms used by the provider.

8) Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate purposes such as security and dispute prevention.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete your account/profile data from Firestore and disable or remove your Firebase Authentication account, subject to legal/technical constraints such as backups, security logs, and data we must keep for legitimate reasons.

9) Your rights under UK GDPR
You may have rights to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion
• Object to or restrict processing in certain cases
• Data portability in certain cases

10) Account deletion
You can delete your account in the App from the account/settings area.

When you delete your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete your account/profile data from Firestore and disable or remove your Firebase Authentication account, subject to legal/technical constraints such as backups, security logs, and data we must keep for legitimate reasons.

If you have issues deleting your account, you can contact clubrella@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account. We may ask for verification.

11) Children
The App is 18+. If we discover a user is under 18, we may suspend or delete the account.

12) Security
We use Firebase security rules and access controls intended to restrict data to authorised users only.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

13) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you in-app.
